Today Redmi note 5 along with the Redmi Note 5 pro and Mi TV launched in India. However, redmi note 5 is same as the last year’s redmi note 4 except it’s 18:9 aspect ratio display. Redmi Note 5 pro comes with better specifications as the price of the base variant is Rs14000. If you’re confused between these phones then read the full article. In this article will share our opinions on these redmi devices.
Redmi Note 5:
Redmi note 5 is exactly same redmi 5 plus which was launched some months ago in China. It has a 6 inch 18:9 aspect ratio full hd display with Corning gorilla glass protection. On the back, redmi note 5 has a 12MP camera and has a 5MP front camera with LED flash.
Under the hood, Snapdragon 625 processor is used with 2 memory variants as 3gb+32gb & 4gb+64gb. Redmi note 5 is powered by 4000mah battery which doesn’t support fast charging.
Base variant is available for 9999Rs whereas the higher end variant priced at 11999rs.
Redmi Note 5 Pro:
Redmi note 5 pro has snapdragon 636 processors with Adreno 509 GPU. This processor had shown up the antutu benchmark of 109000 which is massive. Note 5 pro comes in 2 memory options i.e. 4gb+64gb & 6gb+64gb. Ram used here is DDR4X which is the latest.
Redmi note 5 pro has 12MP+5MP dual camera setup on back. This time xiaomi has also improved the front camera as well. Selfie camera is a 20MP Sony sensor which can also take portrait shots. Note 5 pro however still lags the fast charging and USB type C port.
4gb ram variant costs 13999Rs whereas the 6gb ram variant costs 16999rs. So there’s a 3000rs gap between these 2 variants.
Now lets see should you buy these devices and opinions.
Redmi Note 5 & Note 5 Pro Opinions:
Both Redmi note 5 and note 5 pro comes with an aggressive price. But it doesn’t mean that any of these redmi devices you should buy!
If you’re looking a smartphone under 10000rs then redmi note 5 3gb ram variant can be good for you. But if you can add extra 1000rs then go for Honor 9 lite as it is more value for money than Redmi note 5.
4gb ram variant of Redmi note 5 can also be good for some people but clearly, i won’t recommend that phone at 12k because at 1k less you’re getting Honor 9 lite.
Redmi Note 5 pro can be a game changer for extremely heavy users but you should go for the regular 14k variant which has 4gb ram. For 6gb ram, you would need to pay extra 3k which doesn’t make any sense.
